2009 Ford Super Duty

Big jobs require more manpower. And horsepower. Our optional 6.4L Power Stroke® V8 Turbo Diesel answers the call delivering 350 hp smoothly and quietly. Even more important, it pumps out 650 lb.-ft. of torque at only 2,000 rpm. The same technology responsible for that also helps it start in only two seconds in -20˚. All that and we’ve managed to cut particulate soot emissions to meet stringent federal standards. No wonder Ford Super Duty® is the force to be reckoned with in serious pickups.
Just like you need a strong back to do heavy lifting, so does your truck. Super Duty is sculpted around a frame that looks like it was built from girders. Massive rails and crossmembers form a ladder frame uncompromisingly rigid. Everything from the suspensions to the axles dwarf the architecture of most trucks. That ensures a quiet ride and stable handling, but what’s more important is that it enables you to exploit Super Duty’s enormous power without tearing the rest of the truck apart.

It’s easier to answer this question than what could you do with it. After all, Super Duty can carry 6,190 lbs. and tow up to 24,600 lbs. Nothing else in its class works like that.* Yet for all its brute strength, it’s astonishingly easy to drive. The thoughtfully designed monobeam front suspension and generous wheel well space gives it a skintight turning radius for maneuverability you don’t expect from a truck like this. Add it up and this is one pickup that can handle just about anything.
*When properly equipped. Class is Full Size pickups over 8,500 lbs. GVWR.
